Conversationalist

(This post has nothing to do with roses. I just like ’em.)

Me: That was a good event, don’t you think so?

Me: I’m glad so many people showed up.

Me: Mmmhm. Where are my keys?

Me: Oh yeah, in my pocket.

Me: Damn keys.

Me: Mmmhm. Keys in the lock…c’mon, c’mon (jiggle jiggle jiggle).

Me: Damn keys.

Me: Lame. Okay, now you’re talking to yourself.

Me: Yup. Craaaaaazy person! You’re losing your marbles. You need more sleep.

Me: Gotta put these handouts away.

Me: Only loonies talk to themselves in dark parking lots.

Me: Your face! Only loonies talk to themselves about talking to themselves.

Me: Damn keys.

Me: Mmmmhmm.

In case you were wondering, the above conversation actually did occur in a parking lot at 7:45 pm this evening. That is correct. I was talking to myself about how I’m crazy for talking to myself. If you see me wandering around by the side of a highway with mud on my face and sticks in my hair, please drive me to the nearest asylum and have me committed.

On the bright side, I’m a pretty good conversationalist. It went on for a good three minutes before I got the damn keys to open the truck door.
