Cinnamon Rolls & World Peace

Tonight, I’m making the Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls. Well, more accurately, I’m getting them ready to bake so tomorrow morning when my little brother and his friend come over, I can toss them in the oven and feed two teenaged boys, my husband, my mom, me, and whomever else decides to show up. Because I’m going to have four pans of cinnamon rolls. So, I hereby extend an invitation to all of you: please come over for cinnamon rolls and coffee.

I’m pretty much convinced that cinnamon rolls could bring about world peace. I wish I could somehow transmit the smell of rising cinnamon roll dough over a blog. The smell would make people want to accept their differences, put down the weapons, and suddenly recall that actually listening is the most important part of communication. It would motivate us to share our bounty with those less fortunate (see invitation to breakfast above; I’m feeling very generous all of a sudden!) and be grateful for everything we have (like flour, butter, yeast, and sugar).

I will post pictures tomorrow. If there are any left, that is!
